New Kids on the Block...

OK so here is what's going on...
Mom and Dad have been talking and planning
about who they wanted to live in
the barn with me and Sophie...
Plans have changed and I guess
the two little girls Lilly and Loretta have
gone to live someplace else...
Darn!!! I heard they were really sweet
girls, and I was very excited about
 the whole thing.
They told Sophie and I that sometimes
in life plans change...
So they showed up Monday with some new
friends for us...
I guess Mom's and Dad's know best about things like this and I think they were right!
They are really pretty cool friends...
would you like to meet them?
But we have to tell you the whole story first...

As Hemingway says our new arrivals are
very special...
Sometimes you have to look far and wide for
the perfect match...
and sometimes matches are made in Heaven...
Well that is what happened with Hemingway
and that is also what happened with our
new friends...

Our first new friend lived in Connecticut...
someone for Sophie we thought...
She is "three" years old and absolutely
GORGEOUS...
Her first family has the same last name
as we do...
there were so many connections here...
so we listened....
and she was ours...

Her name is Trio...
an unique name given by her first family...
Trio meaning "three"... is a very special
number for all of us...
The plan was to meet in Massachusetts...
Tailgate to tailgate...
white truck to white truck...
 the transfer was made...
She was a good girl....

Come on Sweet Trio...
Just a few more steps...
Trio in the Toyota!
Next stop...back to New York State...
and look who was waiting for us...
Miniature Ponies...
They were so gentle and tame...
These beautiful creatures are used as Therapy animals...

Another greeter...her name is Phoebe...
ahhh...life is good for Phoebe...
how could this face not make you
Smile????

Our second little addition...
at that point a name had not been decided upon...
we had some thoughts but nothing seemed
quite right...
Time to get in the truck to head home...
it was a long drive...
over the hills and through the valleys...
and then we arrived...
We're home everybody!
Is this where we're going to live?
Here she is....and Her name is Helen...
A 3 month old Nubian named
after "Mom"
the name was just right because she
has a white patch on her head that looks like
a butterfly heart...
So many butterflies have been in our path
in the most unexpected places since we
lost Mom...
So Helen she was...
And beautiful Trio...
we call her Happy Trio...
she is so Graceful and quiet...
Trio is a Nubian/Oberhasli mix.
The best of two breeds...
and meant to be here...
Their first encounter...
meeting someone new is always
interesting....
Hemingway being Hemingway...
He WILL be the king of
the pasture...no doubt at all...
Hay makes everything better....
Munching away with
Helen and Hemingway...
instant friends...
We look forward to meeting everyone...
we are usually out on Sunny days here
at Old and Everlasting...
So we'll see you soon!

And we can't forget to Thank our first families...
they loved us and took care of us so well.
