Our Mom....
Our Precious Gift....
We lost our special Mom Helen on August 12th,2010
Mom was a very important part of Old and Everlasting....
Right from the very start she was working with us and enjoying every part of this business. She brought such joy to us and everyone that visited the store.
Perhaps over the years you purchased a pair of sweet little mitten ornaments at Christmas Time...if you did, treasure them always...they were knit by Mom with lots of love.
I wanted to share with you a poem that I wrote....
We Always Knew....
We always knew how special she was,
her love could move the earth.
Her strength, her smile, her heart of Gold
were gifts to us from birth.
And now we know that she'll be here
beside us every day.
Her sweet and loving presence
will guide us along the way.
Our love for you is forever in our hearts Mom.
We will move forward each and every day with all the gifts that you gave us.
Thank you God for this strong, loving and selfless woman that we were blessed to call our "Mom"

New and Everlasting....
Since this is the beginning of our blog, we thought this picture was most appropriate. We spotted this nest just outside the back door at the store. Mrs Robin certainly picked a pretty place to nest! We wonder if she was aware of her surroundings....
As we begin our blog we are reminded of all the blessings that we are given each day. There are so many if we just look for them. This sweet nest made us smile and gave us hope for the day. For each day is new with hope...new beginnings....possibilities....
We look forward to sharing with all of you what brings us joy here at Old and Everlasting.
It could be some new arrivals at the store, a yummy recipe, a photo of our Doodles, or just a quiet thought for the day. Whatever it is we hope you enjoy your time spent here or with us at the store. It truly is a labor of love...
Stay tuned for pictures of our doodles. They are much too busy to be at the store so we will be back soon with a proper introduction to Miss Pearl and Miss Ellie. Not to be missed....
